Why Choose an Adult Family Home?

Greetings!

Welcome to the Peninsula Chapter Association of the Adult Family Homes website.   This Chapter was first formed and registered as a non-profit with the Secretary of State in 1997, and today is proud to be a Chapter of the Washington State Residential Care Council.  The WSRCC is the largest state membership organization representing the interests and needs of Adult Family Homes professionals; the Owners/Providers.

Our top priorities are to encourage education and legislative efforts.  Our goals, driven by our membership, include providing dynamic educational and networking opportunities, increasing our membership and making a commitment to advocacy and advancement for our profession.

Many Presidents have blazed the trail before us.  Their names and accomplishments will be fondly remembered by the many who recall the dedication and exceptional service they gave, not just to this organization, but to the Residents they personally cared for in their own Adult Family Homes.  I am honored to follow in their footsteps and serve as your incoming President, and I look forward to working with an exceptional group of individuals, all with a common unity of purpose.  May God continue to bless you and keep you in this coming year!

Our Mission

  • To foster mutually beneficial relationships with community resource people and others who demonstrate an interest in residential care.
  • To promote personal and professional accountability for Providers, as outlined in the Code of Ethics, thereby increasing overall standards for quality residential Care and business practices.
